Experiments in Light & Form

A collection of experimental visual explorations where I play with light, texture, overlays and form.

A Closer Look

This magnified, dream-like wildlife piece was my final year project during my photography degree. Inspired by the intricate patterns and textures in my home garden and visual artists like Karl Blossfeldt, Edward Weston, and Sam Spreckley, I used transitions, sequences, and overlays to create an ethereal mood.

The soundtrack, Track 1 from Ambient Series Vol.1 by Seethe, adds warmth and atmosphere, bringing the piece to life.

Summer Rain

Summer Rain was an early experimental test focused on capturing the textures and atmosphere of rain in a natural setting.

This simple study laid the groundwork for my deeper exploration of light and detail during my final year of photography.

Playing with Shadows

Playing with Shadows is a brief, looping experimental piece that explores nature’s shadows. Using block colors to emphasize shape and structure, it employs repeated motions, layering, and blurring to create a graphic, rhythmic feel.
